Additional information

<28>In reproduction the oviduct interacts with spermatozoa through mechanisms that are not well understood. Interventional experiments are difficult for financial and ethical reasons and the fact that the oviduct is a soft tissue makes scans difficult. Here we present the first computational model of complex interactions between gametes, embryos and the maternal tract that is predictive of fertility and allows in silico experimentation. The paper is a collaboration with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals trust and the system is now being used in the training of fertility experts (co-authors). The journal has an IF of 2.109.
