The implementation of an automated method for solution term-tracking as a basis for symbolic computational dynamics
This paper is the first ever journal publication to discuss Symbolic Computational Dynamics as developed within my research group. Our work shows that there are intricate and hidden structures within the emerging mathematics of analytically solved problems in the domain of nonlinear dynamics. This information, if extracted and expressed by means of a visualisation tool, holds the key to understanding much of the internal behaviour of complicated nonlinear systems. The work is based on perturbation based solutions for problems in nonlinear dynamics (based on systems of ODEs or PDEs/BCs), which led to new industrial links with Ardes (Contact: Director, Ardes).
