Additional information
This article was the first to show that non-linear energy harvesters could be smaller than linear harvesters. Energy harvesting has become an important research topic because of its relevance to autonomous systems, wireless sensor networks, wearable sensors, etc. The present contribution is one of the few studies that has combined complex analytical methods with experimental data in order to demonstrate the practical value of non-linear energy harvesting.
