Additional information

<24> Published in one of the top journals on computer science (cybernetics), this paper has several distinguishing features. 1) The optimization of the melting spinning process has been, for the first time, formulated as a parameter-based bidirectional problem. 2) A novel immune-enhanced neural network algorithm has been proposed to solve the formulated problem. 3) Most importantly, a software platform has been developed on which typical manufacturing processes can be tested. It is expected that such a platform would have important impact in industry as it can ultimately provide guidance for product improvement.
