Additional information
This paper draws on date from FTSE350 companies over the period from 1999 to 2008 to demonstrate that task-related fault lines on corporate boards have strong negative value-creating implications. From a practice informing perspective it demonstrates, among other things, the importance of a careful selection process of directors by nominating committees. The underpinning research (2008-2011) was funded by ESRC under grant number RES:062-23-0782
