This work arose as an output of EPSRC grant EP/G033900 on the application of novel modulation techniques for imaging flow measurement instrumentation. Modulation techniques investigated under the grant were also applied, for the first time, to shearography measurement of surface strain fields, allowing simultaneous acquisition of both components of in-plane strain.
