Additional information
This is a direct application of the formal characterization of time-series and sequences proposed at Greenwich which is shown to be an implementable system able to solve real-world (and full-scale) problems. As a case study of real-life applications, zone-defense pattern recognition in basketball games is specially examined, demonstrating that the algorithm for matching state-based temporal patterns based on the proposed state schema is effective and efficient. The approach proposed can be adapted for other team-work sports such as football, volleyball, and so on.
