This work continues theoretical work aimed at finding analytical solutions for complex optical filter design. This has attracted interest from other groups involved in theory, including Sprung’s group in McMaster University and Martorell’s group in Univ of Barcelona and has led to further collaborations and joint papers. There are also implications for practical optical filters where theory provides a good starting point for further refinement and this is being investigated by new PhD students.
