Additional information

<20> We combine haptic-feedback technology with a popular model for investigating protein flexibility for the first time. This technique can be used to obtain a better understanding of the response of a protein to the binding of a ligand, e.g. a drug molecule, and consequently has applications in the pharmaceutical industry. The Taisho Pharmaceutical Company is working with us to develop the tool for direct use in structure-based drug design. This software is available via www.haptimol.co.uk and is currently being used by researchers interested in protein conformational change.
