Restoration Politics, Religion and Culture (with Grant Tapsell) grew out of a highly successful set of undergraduate lectures. Both authors discussed the approaches to be taken, the themes to be covered, and the sources to be used, and read, commented upon and made suggestions for additions to the other’s work. In these ways, the whole book was produced collaboratively. However, George Southcombe was responsible for chapters 1, 2 and 8 and Grant Tapsell was responsible for chapters 3, 5 and 6. Chapters 4, 7 and 9 were written jointly, as was the index.
