Double-weighted statement

This book provides the first full treatment of Socinianism, a complex theological system, during the English Revolution. It is based on a close reading of hundreds of hitherto neglected printed works and dozens of manuscripts, located in libraries in England, Germany and France. Many of these texts were written in scholastic Latin, German, or French; some were over a thousand pages long. Research was carried out during a three year D Phil and for two years of a full time postdoctoral Research fellowship. At least four of the chapters could have been published as journal articles.
