Additional information

<29>One of the major challenges with massive real-time data sets is to extract key information in, or near, real time in order to make decisions before it is too late. The presence of these data tsunamis is increasing in many areas of scientific and social data. This paper details a new method of fast analysis using time-frequency methods which are applied to data from social networks and financial data. This analysis provides important information which is lost with other techniques. The merit of this approach is its ability to detect uniform or non-uniform behaviour in particular domains.
