Additional information

There is a very large community that works on delay systems and there is also a large community that works on general infinite-dimensional systems. This paper bridges the gap between the two communities for the first time, introducing a new paradigm of thinking to study delay systems. As a result, this research has led directly to active collaborations with Miroslav Krstic (Associate Vice Chancellor for Research of University of California, San Diego, email: krstic@ucsd) including a Distinguished Visiting Fellowship by Royal Academy of Engineering for him (http://www.raeng.org.uk/research/researcher/dvfs/award_holders.htm) and the award of EPSRC Grant EP/J001333/1.
