Additional information

Semi-active control is low-power method for vibration suppression in which dissipative device with variable parameter is used. Paper proposes what is termed "quasi-active approach", which makes use of energy store in conjunction with semi-active device, to achieve suppression levels comparable to fully-active control over limited frequency range. Principle is demonstrated by considering system with two semi-active magneto-rheological dampers.
