Additional information

Paper is believed to be first to elucidate relationship between residual stress and mechanical/magnetic properties of functional amorphous microwires. This laid foundation for further papers exploiting engineering applications including magnetic stress sensors and biomedical sensors as well as creation of new class of multifunctional composites. Led to 2012 award of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Fellowship (No. 25-03205, ¥2.4M, 2013-5) to co-author Qin.
