Additional information

Vasculature offers potential for storing self-healing materials within structural systems. This paper reports the first application of triggered self-healing achieved using a vascular circulatory system in a fibre reinforced composite. Led to Trask's election to the Scientific Steering Committee for the International Conference of Self-Healing Materials (2011). This research was filmed by BBC Four's ‘How It Works’ science documentary and disseminated internationally through the BBC website (http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01fq06h).
