Double-weighted statement

The monograph is a substantial and in-depth study of the complex relationship between comics and propaganda in American during World War Two. The research took a considerable time to complete, involving the collection and analysis of a vast amount of primary material, much of it difficult to source. It presents a re-assessment of the propaganda campaign as waged through popular culture, and of the role of comics in this campaign.
