Additional information

Lister-Petter was established 140 years ago and is now a leading brand in 160 countries. They have expanded into hybrid energy production and distribute a device that produces bio-diesel from a range of waste products. This research aimed to investigate the effects of blending conventional diesel with biodiesel on the emission characteristics of a diesel engine; in this case a stationary engine for use with a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) unit. The research demonstrated some issues with emissions but also demonstrated an increase in efficiency for the system; this finding may influence the adoption of bio-diesels in CHP systems.
