<13>This paper presents a revolutionary, powerful way of assessing the reliability of complex systems in a simple unified way. The approach produces solutions hitherto unobtainable for more complex cases, involving non-standard assumptions. The ideas have been applied by DSTL, in the battlefield systems area (contact Roger Harris, DSTL, rlharris1@dstl.gov.uk) and used in counter terrorism sensor system modelling (contact Dr Richard Jenkinson, rijenkinson@dstl.gov.uk).
