Additional information

One of two books published by Brown in Springer’s prestigious Mathematics Education Library (rest of UK =1). Brown is lead author writing 70% of the material. Draws on two empirical studies funded by the ESRC, originally reported in New teacher identity and regulative government (2005). This new book includes substantial new material throughout and provides a longitudinal account of the National Numeracy Framework from its introduction in 1999 to its conclusion some ten years later. Reviewed positively in Springer’s Educational Studies in Mathematics 2012, 81(1), Journal of Mathematics Teacher Education 2011, 15(2) and Mathematics Education Research Journal, 2012, 23(4).
