Additional information

This paper confirmed the tunability to deposit CdZnS ternary alloys by MOCVD, key to improve photocurrent in CdTe TFPV. The performance related results allowed optimisation of the alloy to reach conversion efficiencies above 13%. The platform devices at CSER, over 5×5cm2, are currently reaching >15% conversion efficiencies. Such device performance enabled CSER to currently take part in an EPSRC inter-disciplinary research project to study and test new sinter-free printed interconnects, with Liverpool University (EP/K009478/1). This research is being taken, in SPARC Cymru, from fundamental to applied and scalable research, increasing sample area to 15×15cm2 and moving to monolithically integrated modules.
