Additional information

This paper studies the predictive controller design of networked systems with communication delay and data loss. Based on the networked predictive control scheme, proposed by the author, the communication delay and data loss are compensated actively rather than passively. A design strategy of the predictive controller is proposed so that the desired control performance is achieved and also the necessary and sufficient criteria of the closed-loop networked predictive system stability are obtained. This work has been further investigated in more than 20 journal papers co-authored by G.P.Liu. 9 of them have been published in IEEE journals.
