Large-Scale Analysis of Self-Disclosure Patterns among Online Social Networks Users: A Russian Context
This pioneering study investigated issues of self disclosure and privacy in large-scale online social networking. Twenty million user profiles were collected and analysed, showing how users across different demographics managed personal data in an online environment. This work was an international collaboration involving researchers from Germany and Israel and has led to collaboration with Roke Manor Research Ltd (Mike Hook, Principal Project Consultant, mike.hook@roke.co.uk), which resulted in a DSTL research grant (Ref: CDE24948) looking into cyberinfluence, demonstrating the wider implications for cyber security.
