Additional information

A detailed analysis of the microstructure of films formed by responsive copolymer micelles at solid-liquid interfaces is given. Follows our pioneering research demonstrating complex surface coatings from multiple layers of copolymer micelles. We provide evidence for the first time that the microstructure of the copolymer micelles is retained within the films. The loading of polymer at the surface is shown to be very high. Aspects of this technology are patent protected (EP2342246A1 & US20110257289) and have been licensed to Chamelic Ltd. ("Jeff Eaves" j.eaves@chamelic.co.uk) who are exploiting this in a number of applications associated with dust repellent coatings and encapsulation.
