Additional information

For the first time, an integrated experimental-numerical study of forced response for a mistuned bladed disk, using full chain high-fidelity modelling of gas flow and nonlinear vibrations was performed for mistuning predictive analysis of a bladed disc with and without friction dampers. The simulation results were validated on a full-scale test rig with the excitation by aerodynamic force from gas flow.

The conference version of this paper was awarded Best Paper by the Structures & Dynamics Committee at the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute’ Turbo Expo 2009. Contact: Stephanie Sears, Email: searss@asme.org.
