Additional information

<26> In mid 90s Prof Aggoun demonstrated the first compression technique for 3D Integral Images and hence showed that concerns regarding the bandwidth and the display resolution requirements are unfounded. This paper reports some results obtained through projects sponsored by EPSRC and DTI and builds on previous publications. The work reported in all these publications (including this paper) showed 3D Integral Imaging (II) data can be processed using specialist solutions unique to II and hence raised interested for 3D II worldwide which is now accepted as the one of the promising technologies for 3DTV.
