Strip for an electrochemical meter.
The work that gave rise to this patent application was sponsored by and carried out in consultation with the applicants (Lifescan Scotland Ltd). Prototype devices were designed, manufactured and tested by the Sensor Research Group at the University of Bedfordshire's Butterfield campus. The company is a major stakeholder in the billion dollar blood glucose self-monitoring business. The invention describes strips, particularly test strips and adapters for test strips, for use in meters for the electrochemical measurement of analyte in a sample material and in particular the the glucose concentration of a sample of blood. The strips comprise a plurality of working connectors, for interfacing with the meter, coupled to one or more working electrodes. The strips are of particular use in adapting multi-input meters for single input use.
