Author contribution:

Originating in a British Silent Film Festival co-organised event themed around the Great War, my co-editor and I selected 12 essays from academics, historians, and archivists. We co-wrote the 6,000 word introductory chapter which provides a critical framework and historical overview of British cinema during the war and post-war period. After dividing draft-reading equally, I acted as the main contact for contributors in revising their work, as well as undertaking final copy-editing of the 72,000-word book. It also includes my own original research-based chapter of 6,300 words.
