Double-weighted statement

This book analyzes a considerable body of material to substantially rethink the historiography behind four decades' worth of scholarship on American avant-garde performance in order to present new critical insights. It is based on a lengthy period of data collection which included primary research at three archives on two continents: The archives at Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, PA; The Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven papers at the University of Maryland; and the archives for the “Dialectics of Liberation Congress” at the Planned Environment Therapy Trust Archive and Study Centre in Gloucestershire, UK.
