* The first paper ever to combine ten-step inverter operation with full PWM inverter operation in the dual-inverter supplied open-end winding five-phase drive configuration.

* Significant since it enables three-level operation equivalent with reduced semiconductor switching losses and simpler power circuitry, compared to the standard three-level single-sided supply solutions.

* The paper has led to E.Levi being invited to present a Keynote paper at the IEEE Int. Electric Machines and Drives Conference (Chicago, May 2013; “Multilevel multiphase drive systems – Topologies and PWM control”).
