TAP investigation of hydrogen and carbon monoxide adsorption on a silica-supported cobalt catalyst
Based on this work, a long standing collaboration between Teesside and the University of Tokyo was launched and resulted in Visiting Professor status for Maria Olea at University of Tokyo in 2010 and 2012 to collaborate with Dr.Takehiko Sasaki (contact takehiko@k.u-tokyo.ac.jp) on TAP studies of catalytic systems. Dr Sasaki also undertook a visit to Teesside University in 2010 to extend the research collaboration. The work, which also includes Professor Hodgson at Teesside, led to the subsequent development of highly efficient and selective nickel based catalysts for which a patent application has been submitted (Patent Application number P136962GB, 1302778.4).
