Additional information
<21>A completely new interaction technique is presented that allows a user to view a remote display via a mobile's camera, and touch the mobile's screen to interact with the display. The mobile's touch is wirelessly relayed to the corresponding point on the remote screen. This is the first work where a 'direct touch' on the mobile is indistinguishable from directly interacting with the distant display itself. This work caught media attention (ACM alert, new scientist online, IEEE Computer magazine) and inspired the later highly cited 2010 CHI work of Boring et al (“Touch projector: mobile interaction through video”).
