Additional information

<11>We show in this paper how Machine Learning can be productively applied to Constraint Programming. The Machine Learning method allows us to decide without human intervention when a constraint technique called "lazy learning" should be applied. This is important as lazy learning can be very beneficial but in other cases incurs high costs. Our use of Machine Learning has importance for the future of highly flexible constraint solvers which can be tuned to the problem at hand. This paper was published in ECAI, one of the top three conferences in Artificial Intelligence.
