Additional information

<06>Originality: We define the first integrated, architectural solution to the problem of mobility harmonised with robustness, network-level security and localised addressing for the Internet.

Significance: Our solution is pragmatic, and incrementally deployable on existing networked systems. Our approach can be clean-slate or engineered as enhancements to existing Internet systems, offering global deployability today. It also offers a simple, elegant, scalable solution to the "vertical hand-off" problem.

Rigour: Existing proposals typically address only one of the features listed above, through retro-fitted, engineering solutions that increase the complexity of the network landscape and do not scale well, whilst we propose a simpler, architectural approach.
