Additional information

<08>This is a journal (peer reviewed) version of a highly cited non-peer reviewed paper at the GCC Summit. The Milepost machine learning-enabled compiler is presented both as a production tool and a research environment. The tool has gone on to be used in industry in IBM (contact: Dr. Bilha Mendelson, Senior Manger of Code Optimization, IBM Haifa), and has been the basis of numerous research projects based around statistical analysis of programs to drive optimisation. The work lays the foundations for current research into collaborative compilation and big data sharing in statistically optimising compilers (cTuning).
