Additional information
<29>This paper describes innovative interdisciplinary work which produced an immersive 3D multi-user learning environment that was sufficiently realistic to allow archaeology students to gain project planning and fieldwork experience which is critical for their professional development and success, but is otherwise difficult and costly to acquire. The system was amongst the first to devise methodologies and implement systems that have subsequently influenced and directed the growth of 3D digital technologies used in cultural heritage.
