Additional information

<19>This paper demonstrates that distributed wireless measurement points are effective in securing enterprise 802.11 wireless LANs. Performing such measurement in a scalable fashion is crucial for detecting intrusions on these increasingly prevalent networks. The rigour and scale of the study (an actual deployment in a real-world campus network) makes it significant. The work appears in a top international venue. The project was carried out in conjunction with Aruba Networks, the world's second-largest vendor of WLAN equipment, and the results had an immediate industrial impact on their products. The scalability was demonstrated in a larger followup study with 210APs.
