Additional information
With a CASE funded student based with a UK company (Micron Semiconductor Ltd), I initiated the concept of using p-type silicon microstrips for the High Luminosity LHC tracker replacement. The R&D group which I led at Liverpool has carried out most of the research internationally proving this technology to the very highest doses anticipated at the upgraded LHC. Detectors are proven to still function adequately at doses up to 10MGy (1Grad).
