Double-weighted statement

The Great War and Modern Memory (Edinburgh University Press, 2009) is a single authored book 80,000 words in length. A significant portion of the work is based on material researched and written for my PhD thesis, but it was substantially reworked, with several new chapters added, prior to publication. This monograph represents several year’s work and it has made a significant contribution to the field of the cultural history of the First World War in contemporary Britain. Due to its length and depth I would like this work to be considered for double-weighting in the REF.
