This work was carried out in the context of Prof Bessis awards (funded from the Spanish Ministry of Education, 2009-2011) at the University of Seville. The approach demonstrates 27% improvements on connectivity in disaster scenarios. Outcomes fed in two successful UNITE (EU) mobility proposals (Dr. Zelenkauskaite, 2012 and Dr. Asimakopoulou, 2013 who spent 4 months in the Universities of Derby and Polytechnica of Bucharest). It was also led developing a COST action proposal with the Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology, Treelogic, SINTEF and the Universities of Seville, Liverpool John Moores, Politehnica of Bucharest, Lyon1, Freie Berlin and Coventry.
