<02>The paper introduced the first multi-tenant cloud-based caching service offering comprehensive pricing and resource allocation models implemented through a collection of novel algorithmic techniques. The core algorithms have been incorporated into the IBM XC10 Caching Appliance product, and resulted in 2 filed US Patent applications: 20130138891 and 20130138889 (2013). The work is discussed in Chapter 5 of the new book "Guide to Reliable Distributed Systems", by Ken Birman, Cornell (http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-1-4471-2416-0/page/1).
