Additional information

Starting from a single shot micro-geometry, an original model of pulsed laser ablation (PLA) for predicting workpiece surface texture/geometry by considering dynamic parameters of PLA is presented. The model is utilized on a beam path generator for on-wing repair of aeroengines using a patented laser delivery system (Axinte co-inventor with Dr. Kell, James.Kell@Rolls-Royce.com) that received Rolls-Royce Best Patent Award 2012 (Prof. Parker, Head R&T, Rick.Parker@Rolls-Royce.com).
