All-cellulose composites by surface selective dissolution of aligned ligno-cellulosic fibres
This paper is one in a series on all-polymer composites and reports on a novel method for the manufacture of all-cellulose composites. The work is the result of an international collaboration with Kobe University (Japan) and led to an invited chapter in the ‘Handbook of Green Materials’. ed. K. Oksman (2013) and a contribution to a seminal multi-authored review paper in J.Mater.Sci. (2010). The work was presented at a number of invited talks incl. Gordon Research Conference (2008), European Polymer Federation (EPF 2009) and a keynote address following the award of the IOM3 Swinburn Medal & Prize (2010) to Peijs.
