Additional information

This chapter investigates the use of hard copy and interactive product instructions by two different groups of individuals. One group consisted of 12 digital natives and the other group of 12 were digital immigrants. The research used protocol dialogue analysis as the main research tool. It was found that interactive instructions allow more flexibility in use and more importantly help to reduce human errors significantly in the working process. This study will impact on the future design of product instructions.
