Additional information

An important aspect of nonwoven fabric design affecting overall performance is the z-directional strength. This study, initiated and supervised by Russell is one of few to elucidate the factors affecting through-thickness strength in fabrics entangled by water jets. This knowledge is important to reduce issues of delamination and separation in many industrial nonwoven products.
