Additional information

This book provides a summary of work in digital colour imaging that Westland has conducted over the last ten years. Westland was the recipient of the Davies Medal from the Royal Photographic Society for this work in 2008. The work concerns computational methods in various aspects of colour imaging but most notably in colour management. Colour management, implemented as ICC profiling, has been responsible for major advances in colour image quality and is ubiquitous in the modern world. When anyone uses a computer, watches a television, views the cinema, or uses a mobile phone, colour management is being used to ensure colour fidelity of colour images and movies.
