Moving between Images: The Orchestration of Diverse Time-space Constructs in Fine Art Practice
This paper reflects on key research questions within the author's practical and theoretical investigations regarding the image and its perception in an art and design context. It supports and elucidates the nominated exhibition projects, in particular 'Twi_light', 'Dialogue in Place II' and 'Zwischen den Bildern/Moving between images'. Drawing from the author’s practical and theoretical engagement with image making, it explores how the juxtaposition of diverse art and design media contributes to a differentiated appreciation of the time-space relation. This represents how the dialectic of absence and presence of figuration relates to movement and assists the experience of nomadic dwelling.
