Additional information

<22> The e-Science CARMEN portal (portal.carmen.org.uk) brings novel analysis tools and services (for example, spike pattern matching, plus a variety of spike detectors) to neuroscience datasets at the portal. CARMEN is used by different research groups worldwide, including being employed in papers in the Journal of Neurophysiology (for example, Witham and Baker 2012: 10.1152/jn.00462.2012) and the Journal of Neuroscience (for example, Hennig et al 2011: 10.1523/JNEUROSCI.3112-11.2011). The original e-Science funding has now been followed up with BBSRC Tools and Techniques funding.
