Additional information

This highly-cited paper has become a reference in the field, by showing the scientific community that computational tools can be used to give consistent information in support of personalised healthcare. The study is multicentre, multidisciplinary, and involved academia and industry. I worked collaboratively with ANSYS (contact: Head, ANSYS) to computationally predict the haemodynamics within treated patient-specific aneurysms. The aim was to demonstrate the feasibility and reproducibility of CFD analysis of aneurysm haemodynamics. Following the success of this study, five new research challenges of the same nature were organised, and results presented at major clinical seminars (7th Intracranial Stenting Meeting, USA).
