Significance of output:
A new optimization-based design-framework is proposed for iterative learning control (ILC), which is a new abstract interpretation of the widely-used norm-optimal ILC method. The value of the approach lies in the reduced times to reach convergence and hence increased computational and implementational efficiency. The work led to 4 journal publications and two invited plenary talks at 2008 Sino-European Workshop on Intelligent Robots and Systems, Chongqing, China and 2009 International Conference on Methods and Models in Automation and Robotics, Miedzyzdroje, Poland.
